Contact & Corrections

This is a private reference site, not the sheriff, jail, court, or another government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking file. Direct those requests to the agency that holds the record.

Official Rooks County Contacts

For county bookings, custody, or a correction to an official jail record, contact the record holder first:

Rooks County Sheriff's Office

803 S. Elm Street
PO Box 193
Stockton, KS 67669

Office and jail line: 785-425-6312
Fax: 785-425-6853
Office hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Dispatch: Available 24 hours; call 911 for an emergency.

Choose the route that matches the person's custody stage or the kind of correction needed:

  • For a booking photo, booking record, or released-person file, use the request steps in the home page records guide and contact the sheriff as custodian.
  • For an active warrant question or tip, review Sheriff's Most Wanted; never approach a person based on a listing.
  • For a new arrest or current jail status, check the official roster paths on the recent booking and jail-roster guide.
  • For a custody alert or release update, use the official roster and Kansas VINE routes explained on the home page. A person may disappear from the live roster after release while an older booking record remains.
  • Rooks County has one identified county detention route. Plainville, Stockton, and Palco arrests that enter county custody are handled through the Rooks County Jail, not separate facility pages.
  • For someone sentenced to or supervised by the state, use the Kansas Department of Corrections KASPER search. It is separate from the county jail roster.
  • For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. For immigration detention, use the ICE detainee locator.

To correct material on this private site, identify the page and describe the issue through the site's available contact channel. We cannot change an official source. If the sheriff roster or court file is wrong, ask that custodian to review it first and retain the written response.
